After a sold-out run in January, we are thrilled to announce that we will be performing eight shows in October!
Sanctuary Stories: A Journalism Theater Project
Through music, videos, photos and live actors, “SANCTUARY STORIES: A JOURNALISM THEATER PROJECT” captures in words and images the lives and communities touched by the immigration crackdown in Chicago.
This “living documentary” is a unique and unprecedented adventure in multimedia storytelling that brings journalism to life. The stories presented by the actors are based on extensive reporting and told verbatim from interview transcripts. And they are presented with vivid documentary video and sound, illustrating the thoughts and storytelling, and showing the Chicagoans behind the stories.
After a sold-out run at Windy City Playhouse, we will be performing eigh shows at the Athenaeum Center for Thought and Culture (2936 N Southport Ave in Chicago), from October 9th - 18th.

Friday, October 9 at 7:30 pm
Saturday, October 10 at 2:00 and 7:30 pm
Sunday, October 11 at 3:00 pm
Friday, October 16 at 7:30 pm
Saturday, October 17 at 2:00 and 7:30 pm
